Sunday Skincare - The cleanser with oomph

I picked up a tube of Soap and Glory's 'The Ultimelt' hot cloth cleanser on a whim whilst I was in Boots a few weeks ago. I was low on my trusty 'Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish' and noticed this on offer so thought i'd give it a try...

In all honesty, it's not massively dissimilar to Liz Earle's offering but there are a couple of things that gives 'The Ultimelt' the edge and the reason it has become my current cleanser of choice.

It has a really similar consistency straight from the tube, but the real difference happens when it comes into contact with the skin. 'The Ultimelt' almost turns into an oil, and becomes more similar in consistency to that of a balm cleanser than a cream cleanser. I feel like this means I get a much deeper clean with 'The Ultimelt' because the oil like consistency really helps to break down the make-up which is then easily removed with the Muslin cloth provided.

I also much prefer the packaging of 'The Ultimelt' mainly because you can see how much product there is left in the tube, and my one gripe with the Cleanse and Polish is that I never really know when it's going to end!

This is in no way a Liz Earle bash, I still love the Cleanse and Polish, especially for days I'm not wearing make-up. 'The Ultimelt' just has the edge when it comes to getting a real deep clean especially after you've been wearing quite heavy make-up.

Soap and Glorys 'The Ultimelt' is available from Boots for £10, sadly it's currently out of stock online but hopefully still available in stores.

  1. I used to have the hot cloth cleanser from Soap & Glory but they've changed their packaging, so I don't know if this is the same thing as before :/ it sounds lovely though xx

    1. I think this might be a replacement to what was called the fab pore hot cloth cleanser!

  2. Thanks for the review! I've tried a few S&G products recently, and they've all been worth the money. Maybe not best of the best, but definitely good value!
