First Impressions - L'Oréal Nude Magique Eau de Teint

First of all, this foundation is like nothing I've ever tried before. Absolutely nothing.

I absolutely love the way this stuff feels on my skin, it honestly does feel weightless and undetectable. It provides a pretty light coverage and evens out the skin tone reasonably well, I just touched up any blemishes with a spot of concealer.

I really liked the finish of this foundation, it looked natural and dewy on the skin. It didn't last overly well on my combination/oily skin but I suspected that with it's glowy application.

Although they suggest just using your fingertips to blend, I actually found using a duo fibre brush the best bet for application. When I tried to apply with my fingers the heat made it feel a bit too slippy and it then became difficult to blend.

This foundation isn't without some major flaws... it's water-like consistency means it's pretty messy and you have to be very careful when trying to get some out of the bottle. They suggest just using it straight from your fingers to your face but as I wasn't keep on finger application (not to mention the aspect of hygiene). The easiest way I found was to pour a little (and I really do mean a little!) into a dish and apply from there. You could attempt to pour a little on the back of your hand but be warned, apply quick or it'll be dripping down your arm!
The shade range is unsurprisingly poor with only 6 shades. Don't get me started about poor shade ranges!

In a nutshell, if your skin isn't too oily and you're looking for something light then I'd recommend giving this a whirl, it's available in Boots and Superdrug at the minute for an introductory price of just £6.99 and frankly it's just quite an innovative and exciting product to try!

Have you already tried Eau de Teint? What did you think to it?

  1. I think I might give this a go after reading your review. I have dry skin, so it might work - and whilst it's on offer, i've not got a lot to lose

  3. I heard this foundation is more lightweight if you apply it with your fingers, but can have a best coverage when you apply it with a brush. I'm curious about it because I don't really like liquid foundation because they can be bit too heavy on the skin and not that comfortable, but this one has good premises and looks exactly what I'm looking for!

    1. Yeah I much preferred how it applied with a brush! Ah sounds like you might really like this foundation then, it really does feel like nothing on your skin! :) x

  4. I love the look of the packaging on these but they don't look too practical really! I like loreal true match though so I'd be interested to try these xx

    1. The brushed glass is lovely but yep, it's not the most practical of products!
